The Lipault Carry-On

I have owned this Lipault Plume Cabin Spinner carry on for a few years now and I wouldn’t leave for a trip to the airport without it. I used this bag to go on a month-long international trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji and it was easy to carry around and allowed me to fly over 11 flights freely without checking a suitcase.

When I was first looking to replace my carry-on suitcase, I wanted a soft-sided suitcase that was not a duffel bag, which was difficult to find. I finally narrowed in on Lipault for the soft-sided options plus the sleek look and price really drew me in to try it. I know this is a strong opinion away from the classic hard-sided suitcases (think: Away), but I’m never going back. Here’s why:

1. Just when you think you can’t fit another thing, there’s always extra room. The great thing about soft-sided suitcases is that there is not as much of a hard limit on space in your bag. You can really squeeze every last ounce of space from the bag, and it expands and collapses how you need it to based on what you put in it.

2. It’s lightweight. I love how easy this bag is for me to carry around and pick up. The bag is so light that the weight of the bag really depends on the weight of my things inside it.

3. It’s incredibly durable. Just because a suitcase is soft-sided, doesn’t mean it’s not durable. I have had this bag for years, fly many many times a year, and you can’t even tell. No scuff marks, scratches or broken wheels.

4. It still has 360 rolling wheels. Lots of soft sided duffels and rolling bags do not have fully rolling wheels, but this bag does.

5. The price. Lipault as a brand has incredibly reasonable pricing for the quality of the bags.

6. The zippered interior and exterior pockets. The exterior pocket allows me to squish just a few extra pieces of clothing than I otherwise would normally fit on the inside.

Travel Size Organizers
Getting all of your cosmetics and toiletries into travel friendly bags and containers is one of the most annoying part of packing. Kitsch, Calpak, Beis, and Dagne Dover are some of my favorite travel kit brands for cosmetic cases, small travel bags, and organizers to make packing for the airport easier.
The Perfect Personal Item
Finding the perfect personal item to accompany your carry-on suitcase can be the difference in fitting an extra pair of shoes for a long weekend or making it for a month on the go without checking a bag. These are now the only bags I use from my favorite travel brands.
